Nehru Govt Spied on Netaji Bose Family
With a big blow to the Congress Party, two declassified Intelligence Bureau Files have reportedly revealed that Jawaharlal Nehru government had spied on the relatives of Subhas Chandra Bose for nearly two decades. According to the report, the IB spied on the two Bose family homes in Calcutta and reported to Nehru.
A Media report claims that the spying on Bose took place between 1948 and 1968 when Nehru was the Prime Minister of India. The report also said that though Nehru died in 1964, the spying continued for four years after his death. It shows that Subhash Chandra Bose’s nephew siblings Sisir Kumar Bose and Amiya Nath Bose were also under the surveillance.
Even though Bose’s daughter, 73 year old Anitha Bose has said that she was not surprised about the surveillance , Chandra Kumar Bose, Bose’s grand-nephew has made it clear that a judicial inquiry should be conducted on the issue. Urban development Minister M Venkaiah Naidu said the news that Bose was spied upon is shocking and that the truth must be revealed.
