A Recipe at Hand



When we hear of visitors turning up we often crave for some magic recipe at hand so as to impress them well. Even though not always, sometimes something or the other may go wrong when in a hurry burry and we end up spoiling the mood. It is always desirable to have short, simple and scrummy recipes at hand so that they will be useful to us whenever needed. It saves a lot of time, effort and definitely keeps you away from all the pressure. Check out the simple recipe; sure it will be loved by one and all.

Banana – 2, medium-sized
Sugar – 5 tablespoons
Ghee – ½ teaspoon
Egg – 1
Powdered cardamom – ½ teaspoon
Flour – 11/2 cup
Vermicelli –as needed
Cashew nuts, raisins, almonds – a handful
A pinch of salt

• Chop the bananas and shallow fry in a pan. When it turns light brown, add the cashew nuts, almonds, raisins, 2 teaspoon sugar and ghee. Keep aside to cool.
• In a bowl, mix flour, egg, remaining sugar, salt and powdered cardamom. Make a smooth batter.
• Keep vermicelli ready in a plate. It forms the coating of the banana balls.
• Divide the banana mixture into small portions and shape them into balls.
• Dip each ball into the batter, roll them onto the vermicelli ensuring that all sides are covered and deep fry the balls till brown.
• The spiky balls are ready to serve.
