Jamia Millia Islamia to stage a play on communal harmony
The drama club of Jamia Millia Islamia “JOSH” is organizing a play that deals with children and their rights in the society tarnished with social evils. The play has been designed and directed by Dr. Danish Iqbal, Coordinator, AJK-Mass Communication Research Centre, Jamia Millia Islamia. The play is in Hindi, titled “Hum Ek Hain” and is penned by Shrirang Godbole.
The play will be staged at Dr. M.A. Ansari Auditorium, Jamia Millia Islamia on November 22 and 23 at 5 pm and 3 pm/6 pm respectively.
Set in the backdrops of riots in the city the play will address issues of unity along with religious diversity and protection of the rights of children. The script is clear-cut demonstrating how the pure and unpretentious minds of children convince the adults in changing their perceptions about the social evils.
